Probably the surface is spruce or Aderondack spruce. The back is mahogany. The string height is 1.6 millimeter (.06 inches) for the 1st string and 2.2 millimeter (.08 inches) for the 6th string, which is a comfortable height to play. This spring, the neck joint was repaired, the neck angle was corrected, the frets were replaced , the nut was remade, and the saddle was remade. There is a repair mark for a crack in the center of the surface, but it was already there when the previous owner purchased it at a music store in Kanda. The crack has been repaired neatly and completely. The sound has dried out and has a good mahogany sound.
