This is a note for the silver certificate or black eagle specialist. It is the toughest variety of black eagle, the 229a. It is a 1899 $1 Silver Certificate, the black eagle. The Freidberg number is 229a, which means it has the signatures of Vernon and McClung and the date is to the right of the seal. This note is graded Very Fine 25.
