Hailed as ABU's World Champion Tournament casting reel, setting and breaking many records in distance casting. This outstanding example of Record 2100 Sport with centered Record stamped logo and both purveyor royal crests, was first manufactured sometime ca. 1947. The introduction of the Record 2100 Sport was advertised since 1940s as the first reel in the world with the patented centrifugal brake system. It features ABU's first combination of free-spool and automatic re-engagement mechanism, practical aluminum thumb-rest, lightweight aluminum spool with cork filler, a full time clicker, adjustable offset brake, unaltered riveted foot marked "Made In Sweden", and two thumbscrews for quick take apart. This Record 2100 Sport is housed in its original leather case, adding an extra layer of charm and protection. Comes with a highly prized ultra-light magnesium spool weighing about 0.5 oz (15 g), and its handsomely painted wooden container, making it a great addition to any sport fisherman's use, or valuable fishing collection.
