Description: Elizabeth L. Hanna (1916-2008) is a well listed Modernist painter and printmaker. She studied art at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. About 40 years before her death, she stopped drawing and painting and stored away hundreds of her artworks in her home in Lenoke, AK. Her work before that hiatus, was widely represented in both private and public collections including the historic Arkansas Museum of Little Rock, AK. The artwork for sale is an abstract watercolor (in blues) on stiff paper. It is entitled "Seashore" and it measures 9" high and 12" across.The scene depicts sky, water and seashore in a minimalist style. Painting is primarily in shades of blue and light purple. The artwork is not signed by the artist but comes from her estate. It has a certificate of authenticity (COA) to accompany it.
