Description: This is a modern (1982 ABNC Certification) proof print by the American Bank Note Company of: $10.00 Obsolete note of the Bank of Commerce, Fernandina, Florida. Chartered in 1861, the uncertainty of the war caused the organization of the bank to be aborted. It never opened and the currency was never issued. State of Florida scrip was printed on the plain back of many of printed notes. This note is certainly very beautiful with a steam engine and tropical scene in each lower corner. This print is made with the original steel engraved plate from the archives of ABNC. The print is in the original color and is in supurb proof condition.
