Description: A near fine copy of Clyde Waddell's A YANK'S MEMORIES OF CALCUTTA. A commercially-produced album of 60 fine 8" x 10" silver gelatin print photographs shot while Waddell served as a photographer and Army Public Relations Officer during WWII. He compiled the photographs into this album upon his return home to Houston in 1946 and marketed them through fellow returning-GI's he employed as sales agents. This is a high spot of CBI Theatre material. It is uncommon and when found typically at a price exponentially higher than mine here or incomplete. This copy is complete with all 60 superb, tack-sharp photographs including gritty street scenes, marvelous architectural views, a rare interior glimpse at an opium den and more. Please don't hesitate with questions or requests for more images or information and thanks for looking. Ships safely packed and promptly dispatched same business day as payment via FedEx Ground.
