Description: A Shelley "Cottage 1" 11604 Queen Anne shape Bread & Butter plate. C.1928. Pattern No 11604 Cottage 1 - Black print. Yellow solid ground. Cottage with chimneys. Grey trees partly enamelled in black. Green fields. Yellow road. Fence and gate across road. White ground. Black edges. Entered in pattern book during or after 1928. The shape of this bread and butter plate is the Queen Anne shape which was produced between 1926 & 1960. Dimensions: 235mm (9.25 inches) by 204mm (8 inches). Condition: In very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or scratching. A couple of small faint light marks on the yellow ground. Paintwork / enamelling is in very good order with no fading to the pattern. The plate has a very good true sound to it when lightly tapped.
