Abecasssis was a member of the Aston Martin racing team in the postwar years and a part owner of HWM which gave early drives to the likes of Stirling Moss and Peter Collins. George Abecassis competed in 217 races, including four runnings of the Mille Miglia, and had a highly distinguished wartime career in the Royal Air Force.
