It is the fifth installment in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, and stars Lisa Wilcox, and Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger. The film follows Krueger, using a now pregnant Alice Johnson's baby's dreams to claim new victims.The general tone is much darker than that of the previous films. A blue filter lighting technique is used in most of the scenes. It is one of the final slasher films released in the 1980s.It is interesting to note that the artwork was created by Matthew Joseph Peak - the son of the famous BOB PEAK, notable for the bulk of the STAR TREK posters. United Artists studio hired Peak in 1961 to design the poster images for the film West Side Story. The success of Peak's work on that film led to work on posters for designer Bill Gold, including the big-budget musicals My Fair Lady and Camelot. In the mid-1970s, Peak's style would become familiar to fans of science fiction films when he created the poster art for the futuristic film Rollerball (1975), which was followed by the first five Star Trek films, Superman (1978), Excalibur (1981), both Derek Flint films, Apocalypse Now (1979), The Spy Who Loved Me and other James Bond concepts. I opened my first store in 1981 in Sydney trading as STARS ROCK AND MOVIE POSTERS, I ended up with a framing warehouse and four stores in total selling collectible music posters and movie memorabilia. I dealt with collectors worldwide and wholesaled rarities to collector stores across Australia. I secured exclusive deals with film distributors and over the years was fortunate to have acquired many rare and unique items - my policy was to sell them on as fast as possible. I used the services of a professional photographer to record most for my archive knowing that many of the rarities once sold would never be seen again The momentum that I created was shut down when I was diagnosed with a serious illness. The result caused me to shut down the stores and abandon my drive to expand the business. I continued to sell slowly through eBay for some years. I moved interstate in 2017 and went into the corporate world expecting never to venture into the collectibles and memorabilia world again, particularly seeing that my serious illness had again reared its head. I had a shipping container of posters which I ended up selling most of to a dealer in Queensland. He 'cherry-picked', so I was left largely with dross, although when I looked more closely I saw many hidden gems. Of course, I still had my transparencies and some surprisingly interesting items. My mission now is to clear everything and to be able to sit back and watch the world go by. This means lots of bargains to be had at the ozsell store.
