Description: A fine & quality antique Anglo-Indian Raj period brass Inkstand C.19thCA very fine top quality antique Anglo-Indian Raj period brass Inkstand, having three compartments, two for ink bottles and a central stamp compartment with a substantial flame finial. The whole having two tiger head side handles. All-over quality pierced decoration with engravings to the lids. Stood on four feet. A very heavy and substantial item.Circa 19th centuryGood antique condition but with the brass knobs on the lids of the ink compartments missing, no ink bottles and the inscription presentation panels removed. One foot looks a little bent and a little bent by the lid area.10.75 inches (27cm) width X 6.5 inches (16.5cm) depth X 5.5 inches (14cm) height approx - dia of hole holding the ink bottles 1 7/8th inches approx so the lip on the replacement bottles will need to be around 2 inches (5cm) approx.
