Description: Not often found together: a beautiful bride and snazzy groom set from the late 1940s, during the transition from bisque to all plastic for Nancy Ann Storybooks Dolls. Both are hard plastic, painted eye dolls in the Family Series. The bride is 5 1/2 inches tall; the groom is 6 inches. (Check my listing with the complete set of six Nancy Ann bridesmaids from the same vintage collection.) The bride’s dress, elegant patterned underskirt and veil are in exceptional condition! She has her original flowers, fresh and untouched by age. Her lace is almost flawless. The groom’s tuxedo and separate top hat are also exceptional, though it looks like his feet were glued to something. Each has its sturdy box, with the scripted lines that identify Nancy Ann Storybook’s plastic dolls. The groom’s box has a “Bride” label scrawled in green marker (shown).
