Description: Here is an absolutely fabulous antique Japanese finely hand decorated and gold gilded signed Kutani porcelain bowl, with intricately detailed birds and flowers on the outside and a landscape scene with figures of a couple and woman, birds and border designs. This 8 1/2 inch diameter piece stands 3 1/4 inch tall and is signed on the bottom as shown. It was obtained by me through an estate auction of an elderly collector who had acquired the bowl many years earlier. His family always remembered him having it but had not further information as to where he had acquired it. This is an exquisite example of fine mid-19th century Japanese art pottery, possibly traded in Edo as the Meiji period began in Japan. I will be sure the bowl is wrapped very carefully for shipping.
