Description: Presented is a nice Turkish or Middle Eastern brass quill and inkwell case, made in the 1800s for a traveling scribe. This piece has wonderful hand engravings all throughout the exterior. The piece displays stylized writing and fancy decorations along both sides of the quill case and around the inkwell. The case is in great overall condition, especially considering age. The copper pin hinge works well and the quill lids close well. There are no breaks and no repairs. Measurements: 2 1/4 inches from the back hinge to the end of the inkwell 8 inches long 1 3/4 inches wide -kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
