Description: A large natural sapphire corundum specimen from Sri Lanka, ranging from rich blue-bluegrey-grey in color. If I had the equipment to polish the surface properly, I would. The pictures don't capture it well but you can really see the hexagonal crystal structure in many areas throughout the specimen. So if you have the equipment for it, this may be an excellent piece for you. As far as I can tell it appears to be quite heavily included but that is hard to say without cutting through the rough outer surfaces, some areas do have quite a nice sheen. I bought this specimen while in Sri Lanka and have never had it certified. Weights 750 g or 3750 ct. Measures 92 mm/85 mm/49 mm in size.
