Description: This sale is for 7+ fertile barnyard mix duck eggs. Multiple colors and sizes that include Call Ducks, Peking’s, Khaki Campbells, Magpies and Mallards. A perfect addition to your backyard flock. My eggs are from healthy free range ducks. They are only locked up at night to protect them from predators while they sleep. They are cared for, loved and handled daily. Please note, the eggs will *** NOT *** be washed. This is to protect the “bloom” on the outside of the egg and the developing duckling on the inside of the egg.*** DO NOT WASH YOUR EGGS BEFORE INCUBATING. **** This will remove the “bloom”and possibly cause the duckling developing inside the egg to not develop properly. To further describe the “bloom” of an egg… It is in an INVISIBLE COATING that the hen’s body will “lay” on top of the shell of the egg. Very simply, the bloom of an egg protects it. Egg shells are not solid. They are porous. The pores allow oxygen to move through the shell for the baby duckling. The bloom serves as a protective barrier to keep the developing duckling safe from bacteria. Unwanted bacteria can be a serious problem for a baby duckling. Once you receive your eggs, place them in an egg carton FAT END UP and POINTY END DOWN for 24 hours at room temperature. This will allow the air cell to settle correctly inside each egg. Hatching time frames: Magpies, Peking, Mallards and Khaki Campbells: Hatch in 28 days.Temperature setting for incubator 99.5 Fahrenheit to 99.99 Fahrenheit.Humidity levels 45-55% for the first 25 days.Stop rotation on day 25.Increase humidity level to 65-70% days 25-28.LOCKDOWN Time- Do not open the incubator anymore at this time as it will disrupt humidity levels and affect the duckling’s ability to hatch. Call ducks: (I will identify these **if any are available** in the shipment. Call ducks are seasonal layers.) Hatch in 26 days!!!Temperature setting for incubator 99.5 Fahrenheit to 99.99 Fahrenheit.Humidity levels 50-55% for the first 23 days.Stop rotation on day 24.Increase humidity level to 70-75% days 24-26LOCKDOWN Time- Do not open the incubator anymore at this time as it will disrupt humidity levels and affect the duckling’s ability to hatch. Air Cell Issues:If after 24 hours the air cell on any of your eggs appears to be damaged from shipping CHANGE your HATCH PLAN!Set eggs into the incubator in a vertical position (fat end up and pointy end down).When turning the eggs tilt them side to side at a 45 degree angle. This will help to keep the air cell at the top of the fat end of the egg.If you don’t have an incubator that can incubate the eggs at a vertical position, you can use an egg carton. Just make sure to cut out a small portion out of the bottom of each egg placement section in the egg carton before placing the eggs into them.This will allow the eggs to still get air circulation and heat. And not condensation under them. Please note there is ***no guarantee*** on hatch-ability. I have no control over what happens to the order once it is shipped. Every shipment is packaged carefully to prevent any cracking of the eggs and is labeled "Fragile- Hatching Eggs Please Do Not X-Ray". They are shipped USPS Priority Shipping.
