They reproduce quickly in new environments, and lay eggs on smooth surfaces. Their eggs look like small, clearish drops on the tank, and usually hatch within 10-12 days.Cleaning -- Snails often produce a lot of waste! It is important to gravel vacuum your tank (you can tape a small bit of mesh to the top to prevent from sucking your new friends up) and have a good filter to ensure a clean environment. Acclimating:While rams horn snails are very hardy, it is necessary to acclimate them to their new environment. Remove the paper towel they arrived in, and place them back into the container. Next, slowly add water from your established aquarium to the container over the course of 10 minutes.
