However it should be noted that there are some imperfections (in application of transfer, for example) on several pieces - all original to the making and consistent with quality of 19th century children’s ware. I have captured a few in the photographs. Set of 6 Charles Allerton Little Mae & Pets BrownTransferware Child's Plates Set of 6 antique earthenware child's plates decorated in the No 780 pattern in a brown or sepia transfer. Marked on the reverse CA & Son No 780 England. The scene shows Little May with a dog, cats, and birds. These have some crazing typical of earthenware, but otherwise good condition. A couple of goo pucky on the bottom from display. Each plate measures approximately 5 3/8 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces. Dark spots are as shown in photos.
