Description: This is a random collection of 56 (approximately) pieced quilt blocks.>>> They span decades from 1940s (?) to 1990s .... +/- a decade?>>> Believed to be the work of a single quilter/seamstress based on technique * This person did not seem to give a care to fabric type, color, or seam allowance >>> A treasure trove of fabrics for examples or repair of damaged quilts >>> They range in size from about 4 inches square to about 14 inches square >>> There are squares, rectangles, circle, star & pickle dish shapes>>> A couple blocks have one piece sewed in "wrong side up" & it's obvious >>> Seam allowances vary from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch plus (some outer edges have NO seam allowance to sew to anything!) >>> Fabrics noted as included in the blocks (but not limited to): woven quilting cottons & cotton blends, polyester doubleknit, dishcloth, leno, plisse, t-shirt knit, bark cloth, crepe, gauze, hopsacking, printed denim, gingham, feed sacks, nylon sleepwear knit, shirting plaids, fabrics with interesting/unique weaves, etc. As traditional quilters who love precision & perfection, these blocks are a nightmare to us. Realizing that people like different looks, patterns, fabrics & techniques, these blocks probably made a quilter very happy & busy. We are passing them on for that reason. One quilter's trash is another quilter's treasure:)! Actually, we find a lot of value in these blocks for people who finish, repair or restore quilts from other times. The fabrics in most of these blocks appear to be new & unused. Some are obviously reused. One we even believe to be hospital gown fabric (white background with a small royal blue motif). Some are really cool. The variety of fabrics is vast- & like stated above, from many decades. We photo & describe everything to the best of our knowledge. As we don't accept returns, please ask questions before bidding- we welcome any questions!!! We want every buyer to be happy- that is the only way ebay is fun!
