It lost the external features beauty contest, but it’s what’s inside that counts. Very nice visibility of the chambers and the calcite separating the chambers flows a deep blue under UV light, as shown in a few photos (uv light not included with the purchase). Very nice ammonite! Its estimated age of 90-100 million years old places it in the age of dinosaurs, when a vast sea known as the western interior seaway covered the middle of the North American continent. Please review all photos prior to purchase!
