Description: This listing is for a grille out of a 1952 Chevy car. This will fit into a '51 but it's not correct, '51 didn't have teeth and had the Chevrolet script in the top bar. A lot of custom guys prefer the '52 grille for the teeth and the smooth top bar, but it's not correct for '51 if you're doing a restoration. This one has no parking lights, but is otherwise complete including the latch. The latch springs are missing but is otherwise good. The painted steel pieces of the grille all really should be blasted and repainted unless you're going for the patina look, but none are rusted out or beat up. The chrome on the grille is pretty poor. Again, if you've got a patina/survivor type car, maybe it'd be perfect. But for a restoration, the chrome should be redone. The top bar is straight but has pitting and a tiny tear in one upper corner, see closeup pics. The bottom 2 bars and the teeth all seems solid, I don't see any rust-through, but they all have very worn chrome, typical of the stuff Chevy did during the Korean war. Teeth aren't dented up but one does have a kind of deep scratch in it. Bottom bar has a wavy area in the center were maybe a dent was pushed out, it's hard to see in a picture but if you were to get it rechromed that would have to be straightened out a bit. Overall, you could use it as-is on a patina/survivor/driver but it would need to be redone for a restoration or show car for sure. Usually I can ship stuff out within a couple days, but once in a while the shop is busy and it'll take a bit longer. Let me know if you need this right away and I'll see what I can do.Feel free to email me with any questions.
