The checks span a time from 1937 to 1938 and show the cost of items during that decade, utilities, taxes, hospital bills, insurance and more. Both sisters had very neat hand-writing and the checks are quite a study of banking & economics as well as life in the 1930's. Also included is a unique vintage Chemung Canal Trust Co. Cork Board in the shape of a house, very hard to come by. Was likely a promotional give-away when opening a new account.
