This is a nice selection of DOGS Greetings postcards that would have been sent out for Best Wishes and Friendship. These are ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s, and they have a COMIC / HUMOR theme to them. One has a ROMANCE theme, and one has a cat in the design. These postcards were drawn by various artists and some are designed in the PEN & INK style and are in Black & White. There are two that are ARTIST SIGNED by Avery. Some of these have good PUBLISHERS like Ullman. These postcards show the dogs in various scenes, and some have friendly and humorous messages. A number of these have friendly and humorous messages, and with a “play on words”. These postcards have good detail that makes them pleasing to look at. These are collector items because of their interesting themes and how they have a glimpse of life back in the early 1900s. Overall, a nice selection of dog postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (3) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates in the 1909 era. They have divided backs. Some of the earlier ones would have been "Printed in Germany". These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. However, because of their age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear on the postcards. We do not want you to be disappointed. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS Ground Advantage when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
