Description: The Patch: This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage 4th Air Force shoulder patch with a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The 4th Air Force was activated on April 9th, 1941. It was responsible for the air defense of the Western United States. The 4th conducted patrols over the Pacific and also controlled Air Defenses in the Western US. The Fourth later was given the mission of training crews for overseas duties. They participated in the B-29 Development program which led to the dropping of the Atomic Bomb.Please read my auction requirements.
