Description: The staggered star pattern was an early alignment format when the flag went from 46 to 48 stars with the statehood of Arizona and New Mexico in 1912. By June of that year President Taft issued an executive order standardizing the star alignment into six even rows of eight. That makes this flag more of a rarity. The material is silk and it has very vivid color. There is some staining along the vertical fold in the center. Also a small corner end has a piece torn away, please see the photos. The measurements are 48”(4’) by 65”.
