Description: 45 Abnak “Zip Code/Sweet Bird of Youth” The Five Americans Dale Hawkins produced. AB-4458/4459 Etched Rhodes-Dallas I am not a pro record dealer-Im an old lady selling her collection to pay for moving for medical reasons so my opinions are subjective. From the same band who brought you “Western Union” original band was from Durant OK but moved to Dallas and consisted of John Durrill on keyboards, Mike Rabon on lead guitar and vocals, Norm Ezell, Jim Grant and Jimmy Wright. The record is in average VG “rice krispy” snap crackle and pop condition I played it on 2 turntables and while it has surface scratches it did not skip on my equipment. I cannot vouch for yours. Name written on both sides of label BUT the REAL STORY is in the production…. This record was produced by legendary rockabilly songwriter Dale Hawkins. Dale Hawkins penned and recorded the original little ditty called “Susie Q” later covered by a ton of folks including Creedence Clearwater…. This is a trippy little record though more pop rock than rockabilly but wow, The Five Americans were produced by a legend.
