Description: These vintage goblets were made by Rock Sharpe on Libbey blanks likely in the 1940s. They have stunning cut and polish and look as if they were just made. The pattern is called 'Charm' and includes cut leaves and floral. I see no signs of use. This is the water goblet size, though they would work well for wine too. Approximately 6.25 inches tall. Many of the designs by Rock Sharpe were ornately done and brilliantly polished. Fern and flower motifs appear in a variety of their cut patterns. It is important to note that the company's specific stem designs were not matched with any particular cuttings, but this pattern works well with all three ring stem Rock Sharpe with patterns like Cherie, Gloria, Ridgewood, Victoria, etc. In the 30's and 40's, Rock Sharpe Crystal widely promoted products in many of the major women's magazines. According to advertisements, the crystal was described as featuring 'smart modern or rich period motifs.' The stemware was sold at virtually every major department store in the country. Sharpe had extensive equipment for decorating and highly skilled cutters who employed advanced cutting and polishing methods. Until World War II, lead glass was used for Cataract-Sharpe's highest grade cut crystal glassware. I pack very carefully. You will not be disappointed with this set.
