4 James Jones 1st Ed Some Came Running The Pistol Ice-Cream Headache Merry HCDJ

Description: From James Jones, the renowned author of “From Here to Eternity” among other greats, these are four First American Editions, three first printings and one second printing. Some Came Running (NY, Charles Scribner's Sons, 1957) - With the Scribner’s A 10-57 H to copyright page, a first printing of the true First American Edition, his second novel and basis of the Frank Sinatra and Shirley MacLaine film. The book is in very good + condition with a near flawless exterior save one tiny fade spot to rear board and very minor rubbing. Page ends are quite clean. Binding is square and reasonably firm though not as tight as fine. Interior is fine with no names, damaged pages or errant marks other than a tiny penciled 1st Ed and $100 to top corner of FFEP. In a brodart cover, the dust jacket is priced $7.50 and in very good + condition with no chips or tears but light wear and a few wrinkles to heel and crown. Front top corner also shows a touch of wear. It’s a nice First. The Pistol (NY, Charles Scribner's Sons, 1958) – with B in its print run, a second printing of Jones’ third book in very good condition. Interior contents are fine with no names or marks. Binding is square and reasonably firm but not as tight as fine. Exterior shows light wear to heel crown and corners. Top page ends are slightly age soiled. The price-intact jacket ($3.00 like the first state jacket), in a brodart cover, is in very good condition with a chip at heel, another small chip at front lower corner and tiny tears to remaining corners.
