Description: Up for sale is a check from the Buffalo Tigers, a member of the short-lived American Football League. The check is made out to Tigers guard Robert Holstrom. It is a game check from the November 3, 1941 contest. Holstrom played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Detroit Mercy and Detroit Tech. Holstrom also played professionally for the Providence Steamrollers, Columbus Bullies, Long Island Indians and Boston Bears. Holstrom endorsed the check on the back. Tigers GM Fiore Cesare signed the check. Condition: One vertical wallet fold and just a little bit of corner wear. Great condition! The autograph is perfect. The league only lasted a couple of years making memorabilia from these teams pretty scarce. This is only one of the last four checks that I have of Holstrom. Only six were ever found.
