The Base is 7” Wide x 5” Deep and is very sturdy with no wabble. This Polished Fossil Rock weighs approximately 35lbs – 38lbs before packaging and was originally purchased at the Tucson, AZ Rock & Gem Show in the early 1990’s. It was stated that this was from Madagascar.
