Description: It is a three piece special on texts of Biblical Exegesis of the Old Testament of the Bible, complete with French/Hebrew text comparisons, written by a noted Catholic French Biblical Scholar: Jean-Joseph Brierre-Narbonne. The three titles include: Exegese Apocryphe des Propheties Messianiques (1937), Commentaire de la Genese de Moise le Predicateur (1939), and Le Messie Souffrant dans la Litterature Rabinique ( 1940), all published in Paris by Librarie Orientaliste Paul Geuthner, made in France. The first mentioned is in larger sized 10 by 13” format; the other two are matched in size and smaller: 9 ½ by 7 ½., all with matching decorative soft covers, 129, 180 and 196 pages, respectively,,some pages, especially in the larger sized volume, are still uncut. All three contain French in a decorative cursive script of several styles, with double page layouts in French and Hebrew comparisons. There is a special reproduced autographed page in the front of each volume, and each includes full Roman Catholic Imprimaturs ( see photo #5). These were probably texts created for graduate school studies in Biblical Exegesis published in France in the mid 20th Century, for seminary use or special research. All three books are graded in Fine to Very Fine condition,fresh, clean and unmarked throughout.
