Description: Set of 4 shim kits for 1 5/8" square caster sockets - each kit contains one each: 1/4" thick, 1/8" thick, .060" thick and .030" thick. Used when installing replacement casters that are a somewhat lower profile than the originals or when casters need to be mounted further away from the bottom of the piano leg for clearance purposes (often useful when installing double rubber wheeled casters or wider than stock casters that have a wider track width). Allows adjustment from .030" (very small amount) up to 7/16" (when one of each size shim is combined) per caster. Also includes #10 x 1 3/4" screws to provide extra length required when shims are used. I'm Howard Gustafson and I've been a piano technician since 1985.
