Description: Listing are three (3) Nebraska Cornhuskers football media guides, two from 1979 containing 296 pages each, and one from 1978. In 1979 the Cornhuskers went 10-2, and finished 9th in the Associated Press poll. The only two games lost were both by identical 17-14 scores, one to Oklahoma and the other to University of Houston in the Cotton Bowl. In 1978 the Cornhuskers went 9-3, and finished 8th in the Associated Press poll. Their three losses were to Alabama, upset by 4 points to Missouri in the final regular season game of the season, and lost a re-match with Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. The 'Huskers and Tom Osborne beat Barry Switzer and O.U. in the regular season, 17-14, but in the re-match with Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, lost 31-24. The 1979 Media Guides are in excellent condition. The 1978 Media Guide has a very small amount of liquid stain in the bottom margin from the first page until page 120. (There are 280 total pages in the '78 Media Guide.) The stain is isolated to the bottom margin entirely, and does not affect the text on the pages whatsoever. And after page 120, there are no signs of the liquid stain whatsoever. Two years going a combined 19-5, finishing 8th and 9th in the nation, and played in two bowls, the Cotton Bowl and the Orange Bowl. Those were PROUD Nebraska Cornhusker years, and thousands of fans and alumni are yearning for a return to the glory years, and a complete domination of a team like Colorado this year, who brags that they kept "receipts". Blister 'em, Huskers; blister them! Thank you for viewing my EBAY auction items. (Please note: I do not ship internationally.) God bless.
