Uncle Mike's is an undisputed leader in this category. This is for a BLACK, LIGHTLY USED Uncle Mike's of Oregon, Sidekick Series nylon hip holster. This one is marked SIZE 3 This is a RIGHT HANDED holster Field tested for 20 years, trhis is the SIDEKICK series, made of firm and tough cordura nylon with waterproof closed cell padding. It is fully lined and has a closed end for muzzle protection. They design their holsters with a semi firm construction so the holster always forms an open pocket and does not close itself up after the draw. It has sewn DOUBLE belt loop that slots fit a belt up to 15" or slide under the loop for a 1.75" Belt. Your gun rides medium high in a neutral top draw presentation. The holster also features a sight pad for extra strength at the top where the rear sights contact the holster. It has a fully adjustable retention strap, which secures with a strong snap. All these well thought out features make for a nice lightweight and strong field holster, and at a reasonable price. A final great feature is the adjustable retention strap. Almost any Thin or "Fat" revolver will work if it has a similar frame as long as the barrel length is within limits. Once this strap is adjusted it STAYS ADJUSTED until you change it. No coming loose while running faster or jumping higher. Although I am a leather traditionalist, nothing beats nylon for lightweight, all weather endurance, all day wear. When I want to be formal I wear my leathers, but if I am heading out to the briars and mud, I grab a nylon rig.
