Description: Bundleflower is a tall, fern-like, branched shrub. This plant grows between 36-60 inches tall. It produces small, ½-inch, cream-colored, spherical flowers that bloom in the summer. Stems are light green and angular. Leaves are yellowish green or medium green, and narrowly ovate in shape. Grows in meadows, along roadsides, and in tall grass prairie areas. Produces fruit in the form of dark-brown clusters of seed pods. Due to its high protein content, it is readily eaten by livestock and wildlife alike. Fixes high amounts of nitrogen in the soil and can rejuvenate worn-out soil. Disease is rarely a problem. Attracts bees, butterflies and birds. A beautiful, shaman plant with fern-like leaves that is good for soil and pollinators and has magical powers as well. This plant is similar in special ways to that of Mimosa hostilis, only easier to grow in America; hence, it is often referred to as the American Ayahuasca Analog.
