Description: Electrosonic Motorcycle Fuel Tank Restoration Services NOTE: We can process any type of steel tank that has at least a 1.5" opening and does not exceed 15 gallons. See our other listings for the appropriate service for your tank. Electrosonic is a revolutionary method of restoring the inside of a motorcycle’s fuel tank. The Electrosonic process uses Electrolysis, Ultrasonics, Filtration and a proprietary electrolyte formulation that is nontoxic, PH neutral, and has a molecularly bonded corrosion inhibitor that greatly extends the ability of the non-coated steel tank to resist rust like a factory new tank. Remember, ALL fuel tank coating products will break down and end up in your Carburetor or Fuel Injection system!!! Only Electrosonic’s process leaves a tank that is as close to the factory as possible! The only way to completely control rust in your tank is to keep it full of gas or empty and dry. Our rust inhibitors are so good you can take one of our processed, unfueled tanks and store it for years without worry of rust. Gasoline, over time will remove our inhibitors, just like factory new tanks. We DO NOT rust proof your tank, we remove all rust and make it rust free just like new and rust resistant just like new. Our tank will rust again if water is aloud to enter and remain in the tank. The reason we don't coat tanks is because the factory doesn't coat tanks! Coatings fail!!! Our fuel tank processing machine removes all rust and corrosion inside the tank, leaving a grey metal finish, embedded with our corrosion inhibitors that leaves a finish that is like Parkerizing, but instead of phosphates, we are electronically bonding our corrosion prohibitors with the bare metal inside your tank. No other process is like ours!!! Years of extensive testing have yielded a process that removes all rust and corrosion, while providing for the absolute minimum of base metal loss, while leaving a semi corrosion resistant, factory-like finish. Other processes, like acids can remove almost four microns of base metal and accelerate the re-rusting process. Bead blasting, and agitated steel shot removes even more. Our process removes about a half a micron per side, which is equivalent to a quarter of the thickness of the average Bluing. Our machine sends ultrasonic pulses all throughout the tank to loosen rust and corrosion while our electrolysis process uses the power of electricity to attract the rust particles that are then filtered out of the electrolyte. Through years of testing and experience, we know exactly the best temperatures, volts, amps, anodes, and electrolyte formulations to provide the cleanest fuel tank with a minimum of base metal loss. Our process or chemicals WILL NOT damage your paint, however extra precautions (wax) are taken for protection of show quality or air brushed delicate paint designs. We DO NOT process previously coated tanks or tanks with rust-through holes. All holes must be welded shut before processing. All tanks must be cleaned of fuel and dried before shipment for processing, we provide easy to follow cleaning and shipping instructions. Additional flash rust from YOU pre-cleaning your tank for shipping is not a problem, since we are processing the tank for rust and corrosion anyway. Anyone can use a sand blaster or dump some acid in a tank and remove rust! We provide the best cost-effective solution that removes all rust and corrosion from your fuel tank while removing a minimum of base metal and not promoting more future rust by using strong acids or blasting.Inbound Shipping, Insurance and Handling is your responsibility.
