DESCRIPTION: Pair of antique art glass light shades. By STEUBEN. Shape #2243 or #2257 (I'm not entirely sure how these 2 shape numbers differ). Iridescent calcite exterior, gold aurene interior. Ribbed. Markings: faint trace of a silvery Steuben stamp at the fitter rim of one shade. Otherwise unsigned. Circa 1910. USA. CONDITION: Both shades are in excellent original condition. No damage and no significant wear. No restorations. No nicks, chips, cracks, flakes. No scuffs. No significant scratches or rubs. No scrub marks. No damage to the finishes. No pits, bursts or other significant production flaws. On close inspection you may detect some scattered superficial metallic marks and a few small paint drops on the exterior of both shades that I did not attempt to remove. Consult photos. Otherwise generally clean as found.
