Description: Up for bid are a pair of Lewmar 46 Self Tailing winches. These are 2 speed winches, and in very nice shape. They have been stored indoors since being removed. I just completely disassembled, degreased and cleaned all the metal parts in Mineral Spirits, I re-lubricated all the internal moving parts with a light coat of teflon based grease, except for the pawls, which were oiled with Pawl Oil. While I was servicing the winches I also replaced both drums, both Jaw kits, Both feeder arms, both top caps and all 8 pawl springs with genuine lewmar parts. As you would expect these turns wonderfully in both high and low gear. These winches present really really well and they are ready to install. These are very powerful with a 44.8:1 Power ratio in the low gear! Perfect for any number of applications on your sailboat. A huge upgrade over a non - self tailing winch!!!! Much safer to to use than traditional winches, because they allows you to keep you hands off of the rope when it is under load on the drum! The list price on a new pair of these is $6,565.90 - get them here for a fraction. Each winch is approx. 7 9/16 inches tall and the diameter of the base is approx. 6-5/8 inches across.
