Description: For sale is one new, second-grade, refurbished*: Shun Meiji 8 Slot (Plus 2 Magnetic) Hardwood Knife Block by Kai/Kershaw/Shun. *Condition Note: 1) This block was manufactured with gaps where the base joins the main block. This was unfortunately very common for these blocks and very few were perfect. The gaps have since been filled with wood epoxy. Given the discrete location, the repair blends well enough to not stand out, especially when viewed from the front. 2) The block suffered damage during transit resulting in bruising to the upper corners of the face (viewed from front) and lower-right corner of the base (viewed from front). This is also very common due to poor manufacturer packaging and affects most blocks. So far as damaged blocks go, this is one of the better examples and remains presentable when kept oiled. This high-quality wooden block is made for Shun's Meiji knives and is a must-have for any owner of those fine blades. It features the same aggressive hexagon styling of the Fuji line, but in a dark finish with the addition of two integrated magnetic strips.
