Description: Welcome to The Textile Trunk ~ please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk I was very fortunate to have been offered a collection of printed chintz fabrics and textiles. I'm selling them individually and this is one from the collection! They all date 1790 to 1815 and were printed either in the USA or England. There was a roaring trade happening with English printed cottons, however America was also manufacturing printed cottons at that time also ~ The patterns are extraordinarily beautiful. Please see item specifics below : Item specifics : This amazing light weight cotton chintz takes my breath away ~ i've never seen another like it ~ The pattern , the uneven fading the amazing use of color just astound me! ~ I LOVE THIS piece !! The misregistration of the printing makes it even more special. I would date this piece to the early 1800's ~ one of the best I've ever seen! It's also hand penciled in places ~ The edges are hand stitched with a hem ~ amazing !! Measurements: This wonderful piece measures approximately 29 inches by 27 inches CONDITION : This textile is in as found not freshly laundered condition. When held to the light I can see some tiny holes here and there. There are some marks, and it's heavily unevenly faded with time ~ A RARE beauty ~ Inventory : EFF 750
