Description: This is a large, antique set of books titled, The Waverley Novels, Tis' Sixty Years Since." They are by Sir Walter Scott and were published by S.H. Parker & B.B. Mussy in 1852. This Library edition contains 26 volumes. The set is complete except for the missing volume 22. The spines are gilded and ribbed leather and the covers are marbleized. As you can see there is some wear to the backs of the marbleized covers. Each book measures 7 3/4 " by 5 " and 1 1/4" thick (though thickness does vary). There also is some very minor wear on the spines, but all of the pages and illustrations are tightly bound. There is some minor foxing spots but overall the pages and illustrations are in very good, clean condition. If you have the shelf space, these 19th century Waverly Novels will display very well and afford you for many years of reading. Feel free to reach out with any questions or interest!
