This book distills thoughts from the writer's twenty-five years as a Baltimore City Police Officer and many of the incidents he was involved with, supervised, or witnessed. This is not a tell-all book but gives the reader a behind-the-scenes look at police work that often is not discussed publicly, somewhat only in stationhouses and patrol cars. The book will not talk about the mangled bodies resulting from serious accidents, decomposed bodies, abused children, shooting victims, or any of the other gruesome things a police officer sees regularly. Having worked the streets of Baltimore for many years, I have seen it all; murder suspects arrested; rapists captured; robbers and burglars caught in the act and bank robbers charged; floods, snowstorms, and riots were all a part of the writers' career.
