It can take 5 to 10 years to become a fully established, solid groundcover. Leaf Structure: Alternate, simple, and oval-shaped measuring 2 to 4 inches long. They are grey-green to dark green with creamy-white edges. They appear to be whorled in clusters at the stem ends. Stem Structure: Smooth, round, and green. Their scent resembles that of faded lilacs. Fruit Production: Fruits are rarely seen. They are white berry-like drupes less than an inch in size. Winterization Methods: Does not require any special attention as they are not frost sensitive and are hardy down to a zone 3. Fun Fact: Terminalis means 'ending' and refers to the spike of flowers that appear at the end of short stems. General Notes: The leaves may yellow if planted in direct sunlight, and sometimes during the winter due to extreme weather conditions. We grow everything organically with a beneficial insect program. We do not use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides. We use a preventive program for pests with the use of Ladybugs, Green Lacewings, Praying Mantis, and Predatory Mites to battle soft bodied bugs and Nematodes in the soil to combat any soil dwelling pests. Our dedication to safe and harmless plants is seen throughout all our products. We are all stewards to Planet Earth, and we must protect it. Soil pH level guide: Acid to Neutral to Alkaline. Acidic soil has a pH of 1 to 6.5. Neutral soil has a pH of 6.6 to 7.3. Alkaline soil has a pH of 7.4 to 14.
