Description: This item is a Parotodus Benedeni (False Mako) shark tooth fossil recovered while deep SCUBA diving off the North Carolina coast. This tooth is uncommon among the 100's of teeth I have recovered while fossil hunting. I have probably found 15-20 Megalodon teeth for each benedeni. See pictures for detail. Tooth has been cleaned by first soaking in fresh water, then vinegar and then fresh water again. This tooth is 100% genuine. No restoration. Item will be shipped promptly.
