The parents of this plant are two of the best red flavas: Mike Wang’s best rubricorpora and the cultivar, ‘Waccamaw’. This plant shows off a cherry red tube like ‘Waccamaw’ and an amazing contrasting yellow in the hood from the rubricorpora parent. Its offspring are sure to be extra colorful and bright. Father (pollen) plant: S. catesbaei Red Probably my favorite catesbaei in my collection. Has great, bright red and yellow colors from the flava rubricorpora parent. Fantastic shape and tall for a catesbaei. The lids can be a variable, with some pitchers showing the classic triangular catesbaei shaped lids and some having more of a wavy lid. I use it every year in breeding. 1st picture shows the two parent plants. 2nd picture shows the mother (pod) parent. 3rd picture shows the father (pollen) parent. 4th picture shows an example of the seeds you will get (not the quantity). 5th picture shows an example of how I bag my Sarracenia flowers in the spring. This cross was made in the Spring of 2024 and the seeds were harvested when ripe later in the same year. The cross was done carefully by hand. All manual crosses had bagged flowers to avoid any unwanted pollen contamination by nature. After harvest and drying, the seeds have been stored dry in the fridge to maximize longevity and viability. These seeds have NOT been stratified. You will need to do that yourself. I have been growing Sarracenia for 15 years and my goal is to make quality seeds and plants affordable to anyone that is interested in growing these amazing plants.
