Additional features of this upscale Traditional series model include an alder body (in contrast to basswood), a Mustang-style bridge with barrel saddles, and a pair of Fender's American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster pickups. The American Vintage '65 pickups are the same ones used on Fender's American Vintage II (and previous American Original) line, and these single coils yield a range of powerful and defined tones, with plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap. Engaging the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn yields warmer, wooly sounds.
