It has never been opened or seen the light of day. PCGS only certified 238 1st Strike 70's. Another 400 are certified 70 with either 1st Day or First Strike with someone’s signature and some just certified 70 (no 1st Strikes, etc). PCGS only certified 648 total examples of this coin in 70.NGC is a little more difficult to decipher. Approximatly of the PF70’s UC with 1st strike labels to be around 264. They certified 728 across all labels (70's) including no 1st Strikes. Roughly 464 are a combination of no 1st Strikes but 70's with Various Signatures. Included in the 464 are also 1st Day Of Issues. Once the supply of coins are bought and taken off the marketplace, the sky is the limit. It appears most have been bought/entered private collections. The most important item to note with this issue is that it seems most of all examples are in collector hands; no speculators, no dealers. Why is this important? Because the market doesn’t have to worry about dumping; in-other-words, the market softens and dealers/investors dump the issue. Or, a dealer or investor needs funds and dumps some, where you’ll see multiple examples on eBay and various auction companies all within months of each other. As such, you’ll see only the occasional listing here and there when a collector may sell one themselves or has sold one to a dealer or has consigned one to an auction. We do not anticipate quantities magically appearing. Bottom-line – a great coin with a tremendous future; in our opinion of course. Why is this listing so high? I am a private collector who does not intend to sell right now. For the right price I will, but I intend to keep it in its original box for the time being
