Description: PLEASE READ 2015 Grandstand Danville Braves Ronald Acuna Jr. Special Promo Card - PSA 9 Mint (83273682) - NEWLY DISCOVERED --Ronald Acuna Jr.'s 1st LICENSED CARD & 1st MiLB CARD--EXTREMELY RARE - Pop 3, 0 higher--2023 MVP Background of card:--In 2015, 17 yr old Ronald Acuna, Jr. was late season call up to Danville Braves (Rookie level, Appalachian League), for whom he played only 18 games. To publicize the high prospect's arrival, the team ordered a very limited run of a Special Promotional Edition Acuna card as an update to their 2015 Grandstand team issued set. Evidently the event was scaled back for some reason, and very few of the cards were distributed. To confirm the authenticity, I spoke to & corresponded with:(1) the then team execs of 2015 Danville Braves club who requested the very limited print run Acuna card; AND(2) the sole owner of Grandstand cards, which manufactured the Acuna card at Danville's request. I then furnished that background as well as contact info of the various individuals involved to PSA, which then performed its diligence and graded the card. Post-Script: The Trading Card Database (TCDB), the industry's archive & authority on all trading cards, has added this card to its database of Acuna cards effective 4/18/24.
