Very faithful to vintage spec, features include a pair of factory-installed Fender USA-made Texas Special pickups, brass bridge saddles, and flathead screws used throughout. Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this TL52-TX weighs 7lbs 9oz. Fat and throaty in the neck position, chiming and cutting in the middle, and offering a chewy, snappy sparkle and twang in the bridge position, this guitar covers traditional Tele ground, and the slightly overwound Texas Specials offer a bit more midrange fullness and kick.
