The first series was released between 2006 and 2008 - the program comprised pure gold, silver and platinum proof coins depicting Australia's amazing fauna, flora and landmarks. This set of 15 platinum coins shows some of Australia's unique flora. The coins dated 2006 show Cooktown Orchid; Sturt's Desert Rose; Royal Bluebell; Red and Green Kangaroo Paw The coins dated 2007 show Anemone Buttercup; Sturt's Desert Pea; Tasmanian Blue gum; Waratah; Golden Wattle The coins dated 20008 show Black-Anther-Flax-Lily; Native Frangipani; Geraldton Wax; Red Flowered Kurrajong; Small Leaf Lillypilly Each set had a limited mintage of just 2,500 per coin - many of these will have been sold individually, or at best in the individual sets of five coins for each year. Far fewer come as a complete set of fifteen coins with matching numbered Certificates of Authenticity.
