Sprocket, 42t Rear Sprocket For EXACT OEM gear ratio (Best all around gearing as supplied by HONDA when new), use a 16/42t tooth sprockets. ***This is the default for this kit. Do nothing but buy it, and this is what is sent*** This Exact OEM gearing is the "Happy Medium" with the best all around acceleration , with the least amount of compromise on top end or low end. For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 15t tooth front sprocket. (Specify 15/42t QA Kit at checkout) This QUICK ACCELERATION ratio will be much quicker, but slower top speed with higher top gear cruising rpm's. For EXTREME QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (CRAZY quick off the line, VERY easy roll on wheelies), use a 15t Ft. (-1t) and a 44t (+2t) tooth rear sprocket. (SPECIFY EXTREME QA 15/44t Kit at checkout) This EXTREME QUICK ACCELERATION ratio will be much, much quicker, but a lot slower top speed with much higher top gear cruising rpm's. JT Ft. Sprocket available in 525 x 41, 42, 43, 45 and 46 teeth Teeth and Sizes Explained...** A -1t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as +3t rear sprocket change.** A -2t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as +6t rear sprocket change (Very Extreme change)** A -1t front and +3t rear combination is EXACTLY the same as a +6t rear only change with stock front sprocket.** A 520 size chain is approx. 2mm narrower than a 525 chain, and 4mm narrower than a 530 chain. Less mass equals lighter weight equals easier to spin, but the ratio (teeth size) change makes the big difference.
